Technical coordinator of Spartak Artem Rebrov declared “Match TV” that striker Quincy Promes was not affected by the news of the prosecution in the Netherlands.

An Amsterdam court on June 19 sentenced Promes to a year and a half in prison for assaulting a cousin, whom he stabbed in the leg. The football player was not at the court session and, according to the lawyer, will challenge the verdict. Promes is also due to appear before a Dutch court in a case of possible involvement in drug smuggling.

“He is in a great working mood now, just like a little less than ten years ago when he first saw him. Everything is fine,” Rebrov said.

When asked if Promes was affected by recent events, Rebrov replied: “Not at all, absolutely.”

Lawyers assessed the risks of deportation of the leader of Spartak following the verdict

Promes last season, which Spartak finished in third place in the RPL, became the second scorer of the tournament with 20 goals. The Dutchman is also the top scorer of the Russian championships among legionnaires.
