Qur’an burned at anti-Islam party rally; Protests intensify in Sweden; Rebellion

Stockholm: Protests are strong in Sweden against far-right parties and their anti-Islamic activities. Sweden has a riot-like atmosphere with strong protests.

The leader of Sweden’s far-right anti-immigrant and anti – Islamist party, the Stram Kurz party, burned a copy of the Qur’an in public yesterday. This was followed by heavy protests.

Violence is also taking place in Sweden as part of rallies organized by the Strom Kurz party. The Qur’an was burnt as part of this rally.

Proters say that the police are coinciding for such activities.

On Thursday, Stram Kurz’s party leader Rasmus Paloudan arrived in Lincoln, central Sweden, with police to burn a copy of the Koran in the open.

As the Qur’an was being burned on Paludan Road, protesters gathered nearby. The protesters asked police to turn the police but did not listen. He burned the book in a Muslim-majority area.

At the same time, nine policemakers have been injured in the clan and injunction evidence of the protesters and police. The incident took place on Friday.

But no figures or reports have been released on how many protesters were injured.

Local media reported that a group of about 200 people were leading protests against anti-Islamic activities in Sweden.

Earlier in 2019, Rasmus Palodan had burned a similar copy of the Qur’an. He was subsequently barred from entering Sweden for two years in September 2020.

Many other far-right and racist parties, such as the Stram Kurz Party, continue to carry out similar Islamophobic-anti-Muslim activities in Sweden.
