GREAT GARDENS

HIGH-TECH CERAMIC ETERNAL AND BREATHTAKING LIKE THE SEASONS

The spontaneity of nature, with its sometimes dramatic organic shapes and colors, has always sparked human creativity. Rado’s partnership with Grandi Giardini Italiani, started in 2017, brought together common interests, and was a great opportunity to expand Rado’s True Thinline product into the True Thinline Nature collection. This new line highlights Rado’s mastery of materials with this superb high-tech ceramic available in various shades and colors to celebrate the Earth and Nature. These thinner and extremely comfortable timepieces are a must for watch enthusiasts. The collection was expanded in 2021 with the addition of three models that live up to their name: Rado True x Great Gardens of the World. These models have achieved the supreme technical execution of the first series, with breathtaking new design accents—oak leaves, jasmine flowers, mother-of-pearl and sublime high-tech ceramic case colors.

The latest in the series come under the evocative name “Four Seasons”. The four new models reaffirm Rado’s expertise in colored high-tech ceramics, in addition to innovative sapphire crystal production techniques. Each of these four models features a different color, ranging from subtle to lively, as well as a unique faceted lens in the image of the season it honours. Faithful to the eternal cycle of nature, the new models tell the time reliably and precisely thanks to Rado’s R420 quartz movement featuring two hands and 13 jewels.

The first model is the harbinger of spring. With its polished pink high-tech ceramic case, it evokes the return of flowering through this magnificent flower faceted sapphire crystal. The theme continues with a slight gradation from silver to light pink on the dial, a pink flange and the Rado logo printed in dark grey. Just like the other models in the Four Seasons series, it is waterproof up to 3 bar (30 m). The bracelet is made of matching polished pink high-tech ceramic that is still as pleasant to the touch as ever.

The following pattern is a celebration of summer in the spirit of jubilation. The one-piece high-tech ceramic case is dressed in yellow, complemented by a silver and bright yellow gradient dial behind a sunburst faceted sapphire crystal. The crown and bracelet are also made of high-tech ceramic in a bright yellow tone this time to match the case and dial flange. The model features a titanium triple folding clasp and a case back topped with a sapphire crystal featuring the digital imprint “GREAT GARDENS OF THE WORLD” as well as the timepiece’s chapter number, which the also found on the other models.

Autumn brings a beautiful olive green color to the smooth high-tech ceramic one-piece bracelet, crown and case. It announces the next rest under the swirling leaves and the squalls. Its leaf faceted sapphire crystal protects the silver and olive green gradient dial, an olive green flange and the dark gray Rado logo. Inside is the same reliable R420 quartz movement that powers the other models in the series.

Winter peacefully concludes the Four Seasons, with the promise of rebirth after a time of rest. Serene and majestic in white high-tech ceramic, the polished bracelet, crown and one-piece case inspire the same tranquility that envelops this timepiece, behind its faceted snowflake sapphire crystal. A white flange surrounds the silver-coloured dial and its dark gray logo, while the R420 quartz movement provides reliable and precise timekeeping, while waiting for the return of spring. High-tech ceramic is light and smooth. Dressed in white, it gives rise to a stronger, almost unforgettable sensation.

To fully appreciate this cycle in its entirety, the Four Seasons series is also available in a sublime limited edition collector’s box (150 pieces) which brings together the four timepieces to be chosen according to the season or the mood of its owner. Each timepiece is a true celebration of Nature and its seasons, this eternal and sacred rhythm of our lives.
