Just before the holidays, the Federal Council decreed that the losses of the SBB would be compensated by drawing on the Railway Infrastructure Fund. A decision which “endangers the realization of many construction sites and railway projects throughout Switzerland”, denounces the lobby OuestRail in a press release released on Friday. Its president, PLR States Councilor Olivier Français, has just tabled a motion requesting extraordinary funding to cover the losses of the SBB.
