Rail replacement service after a collision of freight trains in Kittsee – traffic

Kittsee – In Kittsee (Neusiedl am See district), two freight trains collided sideways under the A6 motorway bridge late on Sunday evening. Several wagons derailed, and overhead lines and tracks were damaged. According to the police, the train drivers (30 and 26 years old) were not injured. In the Parndorf – Bratislava-Petrzalka section, a rail replacement service with buses was set up. The route should be fully passable once more from Tuesday next week.
