Railway workers: Long night expected at last attempt to avert strikes – economic policy

Vienna – The new wage negotiations for around 50,000 railway workers began on Saturday followingnoon. Even at the beginning of the night there was no agreement that would set the course in the direction of canceling the 24-hour rail strike announced for Monday. The fronts were hardened before the conversation started. The ideas for a conclusion of the KV negotiations for around 65 companies, including ÖBB or Westbahn, were far apart. The preparations for the strike continued.
