Rain continues in various governorates of Oman

Muscat: Rain continues in various governorates of the country. Bathina and Musandam governorates received more rain. Due to the rain, many people who were trapped in their houses and wadis were rescued under the leadership of the Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority and the Royal Oman Police.

Two people were rescued from Wadi in North Bathina. Royal Oman Police Aviation and Royal Air Force rescued those trapped in their houses in Madha Vilayam of Musandam Governorate following an influx of pilgrims. Officials informed that a shelter center has been prepared for the rain-affected people of Madaha province and necessary supplies have been made available.

The Royal Oman Police rescued more than 200 people, including locals and foreigners, who were trapped in wadis in Lima and Niaba areas of Madha. 102 natives and 32 GCC nationals were airlifted to Madha Airport. The authorities stated that their health condition is satisfactory. Cleanup activities are progressing under the leadership of municipalities in low rainfall areas.
