According to the Gwangju Fire Department, there are two reports of rain damage received by 10 am today (26th).

At around 3:20 am this morning, a report was received that a bamboo tree had collapsed near an apartment in Samgak-dong, Buk-gu, Gwangju, and the fire authorities took safety measures.

At around 4:55 am, a report was received that a drain on a road in Gwangcheon-dong, Seo-gu, Gwangju was blocked.

In Jeollanam-do, it was found that two reports of damage caused by rain and wind, such as falling trees, were received by 10 am today.

There was also a traffic accident in the rain.

At around 3 am today, a van driven by a man in his 30s crashed into a guardrail on a 6-lane road in Nongseong-dong, Seo-gu, Gwangju.

In this accident, Mr. A suffered minor injuries.

There was no circumstance of drunkenness or licenselessness, and the police are investigating the exact circumstances as the vehicle skidded in the rain.

Some waterways were also blocked due to torrential rain.

Out of 63 passenger ships on 50 routes in Jeollanam-do, the operation of 16 ships on 10 routes was controlled.

However, flights departing from Gwangju, Yeosu, and Muan are operating normally without cancellation.

The amount of rain from yesterday (25th) was the highest in Naju with 85mm, followed by Gurye Piagol with 84.5mm and Wando with 77mm.

All heavy rain warnings issued in Gwangju and most of Jeollanam-do have been lifted.

The rain, which is currently showing a brief lull, is expected to start again tonight and continue until tomorrow morning.
