Rampage on the university campus in Heidelberg with several injuries

The perpetrator is said to be dead by now. According to initial reports, he killed himself. The police are currently not assuming that there are other perpetrators. The area was still searched to be sure. There was initially no information on the identity of the injured and the perpetrator.
The Neuenheimer Feld in front of the gates of Heidelberg’s old town was cordoned off over a large area. The police asked motorists to drive around the site generously so that emergency services can travel freely.
