For the traveling bar Kaine Kärbes, who participated in the entrepreneurship day at Kuusalu High School, conducting a workshop on making drinks at a youth event was a new experience. Young people could make their own lemonade with boba balls and lime-mint and coconut-pineapple non-alcoholic cocktails or mocktails, company manager Raili Mägi told Sõnumitooja.
Tegu is not a children’s bar, he confirms. Kaine Kärbes was invited to Kuusalu School’s entrepreneurship day with her own story and inspired by young entrepreneurship. Set up four years ago, the alcohol-free rändbari main tegevus is an exciting drink package for adults.
“My husband and I wanted to do something that would be of ethical value to us and that the product or service would carry an important message for people. The alcohol problem is rather widespread in Estonia. When we go to events, they still want us to serve alcoholic drinks. However, we only serve non-alcoholic beverages, and that’s what sets us apart from other bars. When we participate in public events with our traveling bar, we see that on average about a quarter of the people are our customers – some out of necessity, but most of them because of personal choice,” he said.
