The international break was actually supposed to bring a little relaxation into the otherwise packed calendar. That wasn’t really the case for Rapid II. Numerous youth team players were in action three times last week. For example, Eaden Roka, who qualified for the U17 EURO in Cyprus with the Austrian U17 national team thanks to goals from Rapidler Ensar Music and Philipp Moizi in the decisive group game against Spain, played 90 minutes in all three U17 qualifying games. The youngsters will only return to Rapid II later today and will then undergo a check to see who is ready to play again on Friday. Nikolaus Wurmbrand will definitely not be there. The offensive player suffered a muscle injury while playing for the national team and will be out for a few weeks. Furkan Dursun also had to miss the U19 squad with an ankle injury he sustained in the first of the three qualifying games. Investigations are still underway there too. In Traiskirchen, it is also important to be careful on defense, because all three central defenders, Fabian Eggenfellner, Aristot Tambwe-Kasengele and Christopher Dibon, have been given four yellow cards.
