Due to global warming, mosquitoes are becoming more prevalent, and dengue fever cases are rapidly increasing around the world.
It has increased eight-fold since 2000, and has also increased significantly in the United States and Europe.

At a general hospital in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, all the people standing in a long line were dengue fever patients.
This year, the number of infected patients reached 200,000 and the number of deaths exceeded 1,000, the highest ever.
Last year, 281 people died, a record high, and this year’s death toll is more than three times that of last year.

Dengue fever, which is mainly transmitted by mosquitoes, causes symptoms such as high fever, headache, muscle pain, and leukopenia.
It usually gets better after about a week, but it can be fatal in less than 1% of people.
Last month, a Korean who visited Bangladesh contracted dengue fever and died while being hospitalized.
The problem is that the dengue virus is spreading rapidly around the world due to global warming.
The World Health Organization (WHO) announced that it had increased eight-fold since 2000 until last year.

It is also rapidly increasing in the United States and Europe, and a state of emergency has been declared in most regions in Peru.

There is no vaccine or treatment for dengue fever, so the most important thing is to avoid mosquito bites, such as by wearing long clothes or spraying repellent.
Additionally, the fatality rate in case of reinfection increases rapidly, so you should be more careful if you frequently visit epidemic areas.
