Rare auction of moon pictures

More than 70 original images of the US space agency (NASA), including the first images taken on the moon in July 1969, are being offered in a rare auction that is being held today in the Danish capital, Copenhagen.

“One of my favorite photos from the collection is Buzz Aldrin’s photo by Neil Armstrong, in which Armstrong’s reflection can be seen in the windshield” of the helmet, said Kasper Nielsen, official at Braun Rasmussen Auctions.

The 74 images up for auction are from the multiple versions of the “Apollo” missions carried out by NASA, in orbit and on the surface of the moon during the 1960s and 1970s, including 26 images from the moon.
