Images have emerged of a unique strap designed to commemorate the 50th birthday of former Apple Design chief Sir Jonathan Ive.
As noted by the user Stella Fudge, who published the pictures, this is one of 10 prototype straps. The final one was presented to Jony Ive in 2017 along with the ceramic Apple Watch Series 2.
The ceramic clasp is engraved with “J50” in silver characters.
The white ceramic Apple Watch Series 2 was the first of its kind, then the company released a similar Series 3 but skipped the Series 4. Apple eventually revived the white ceramic with the Series 5 in 2019. [MacRumors]
