Author of a third victory in as many stages, the young Caledonian Rayann Lacheny wins the French Overseas Cycling Championship 2023.

18 years after the last Caledonian victory, Rayann Lacheny achieved a historic feat. By winning the time trial in Deva this Sunday, the leader of the Caledonian A team not only won the French Overseas Cycling Championship 2023, but he also put his name in the competition history. Never before has a rider won all three stages of the championship.
On this final stage of the time trial, Rayann Lacheny was the only one to finish under the 26-minute mark, thanks to a time of 25 minutes and 47 seconds. However, nothing was a foregone conclusion for the 22-year-old athlete who had to resolve, an hour before the event, to borrow the bike of one of his teammates for this final test.
After his historic hat-trick, it was a very happy Rayann Lacheny who presented himself at the microphone of Erik Dufour.
