Rose also emphasized: “When I looked at all the happy faces of thousands of fans after winning the cup, it made me proud. Leipzig is my city and East Germany is my home. Rose definitely deserved the extension. After taking over RB in autumn 2022, the club qualified for the Champions League, finishing third in the table just five points behind Bayern and Dortmund. In addition, Rose won the DFB Cup with RB and reached the round of 16 in the Champions League.
