RB Leipzig rejects second Bayern offer!

It’s an open secret that Konrad Laimer is at the top of FC Bayern’s wish list. Julian Nagelsmann in particular is a big fan of the Austrian and would like to bring him to Munich. According to current reports, Bayern have suffered a new setback in the transfer poker for the 25-year-old midfielder.

According to consistent media reports, Bayern made an initial offer of almost 20 million euros for Konrad Laimer last week, without success. As the “BILD” reports, the Munich team improved it directly and submitted a second offer of 23 million euros including bonuses to RB, but this offer was also rejected by the Saxons. According to “BILD” information, Leipzig is still demanding 30 million euros. In addition, the sum must be paid in one go. The cup winner refuses to pay in installments, as was the case recently with Matthijs de Ligt.

Negotiations between Leipzig and Bavaria continue

However, the renewed RB cancellation is not the end of the road. According to “BILD”, the two clubs are still in an “intensive exchange”. In plain language, this means that the transfer poker for the midfielder goes into the next round.

The people of Munich already agree with Laimer himself. The ÖFB kicker definitely wants to join the German record champions and is pushing for a quick agreement between the clubs, as he doesn’t want to start the summer preparations at FCB too late. A deadline has also been set in Leipzig, as reported by “BILD”. Coach Domenico Tedesco wants to be clear by the time of the DFL Supercup (July 30) whether and how Laimer will continue in the new season. Explosive: Bayern and Leipzig meet in the DFL Supercup.

Laimer is only contractually bound to Leipzig until 2023. The Austrian international has ruled out an extension at RB. If there is no transfer this summer, he is flirting with a free transfer in just under 12 months.
