RB Salzburg extend contract with Kjaergaard until June 2026

Maurits Kjaergaard will remain at Red Bull Salzburg until June 2026. The 19-year-old Dane, who scored last weekend’s game at Sturm Graz, has signed a contract extension. Kjaergaard came to Salzburg from Lyngby BK in the summer of 2019 and initially played for Liefer. From 2021/22, his country’s U21 team player was promoted to the Bulls’ squad.

His interim record: 29 appearances and five goals (including in the UEFA Champions League at Bayern Munich). “Mau has developed really well over the course of the last season, gaining momentum and realizing his immense potential better and better. However, because we are convinced that there is much more to come, we are happy regarding this long-term contract extension “said sports director Christoph Freund, who believes that Kjaergaard will play a “very important role” in the team this season.

Kjaergaard is happy regarding the past season and is motivated. “I was able to contribute a little to the great success. The early contract extension is even more motivation.”
