Getafe: Real Madrid FC suffered a shock defeat in the first match of the new year in the Spanish League (LaLiga 2021-22). Sixteenth-ranked Getafe Fc thrashed Real Madrid by an unanswered goal. Turkey’s Enes Unal scored the decisive goal in the ninth minute. Real surrender after 15 games unbeaten.
Despite the defeat, the Royals remain top of the league with 46 points from 20 games. This is Real’s second defeat of the season.
Barcelona return to winning ways in the Spanish League. Barcelona beat Mallorca 1-0. Luke Deong scored the decisive goal in the 44th minute. Barcelona’s victory is due to the absence of a dozen key players due to Kovid’s injury. With the win, Barcelona jumped to fifth place with 31 points.
Atletico Madrid, meanwhile, claimed an official victory. Atletico beat Rayo Viecano by two unanswered goals. Angel Correa scored 2 goals for the champions. The goals were scored in the 28th and 53rd minutes. With this, Atletico was able to overtake Wayekano in the points table. Athletico are sixth with 32 points from 19 games or sixth with 30 points.
