Victim of a ruptured cruciate ligament in his left knee at the very start of the season, Eder Militão is expected to miss a very large part of the 2023-2024 financial year. To compensate for his long absence this winter, Real Madrid would have positioned itself on Gonçalo Inacio (22 years old), the Sporting Portugal player, according to the Spanish daily As.
The defender, under contract until 2027 and whose clause amounts to 60 million euros, has been on the shelves of Casa Blanca for several months. The Portuguese international (4 caps, 2 goals), would also have attracted the attention of Liverpool and Manchester United; hence the urgency, for Real, to take action from the winter transfer window, to prevent this target from slipping away.
Real Madrid lacks solutions
In central defense, the Merengue only have three professional elements: Antonio Rüdiger, David Alaba and Nacho Fernandez. A shortage of central backs, in fact, had forced coach Carlo Ancelotti to move back the usual midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni, against Osasuna, on October 7.
