real! ROG Ally console confirmed by ASUS after appearing in prank on April 1

The ROG Ally is a console that was initially announced by ASUS as part of an April Fool’s Day prank, but now it’s gotten serious. The official ASUS ROG Global account has just confirmed the existence of the console and that it will start pre-ordering soon.

As we can see above, ASUS says the console is real and even includes a link to BestBuy, where there is already an official page for the ROG Ally, although no specifications are available yet.

The manufacturer even included the phrase “this is not an April Fool’s joke” below the console’s photo and even so people are questioning whether this is not another joke from her, which continues to answer that it is not.

On the page we can see that the ROG Ally should use Windows 11 as the operating system, which means that it will be natively compatible with Xbox Game Streaming, Microsoft’s cloud gaming service.

In addition, it is worth remembering that ASUS showed the ROG Ally on April 1st with an official trailer, let’s review it:

As the console has been confirmed, we can understand that the information mentioned in the video may be true. In this way, ROG Ally is expected to have an APU created by AMD in partnership with ASUS, which would bring improved performance with high energy efficiency.

The Ally should still have the Armory Crate application, which would allow you to run all PC games within this platform with greater convenience in the reduced screen and alternative controls.

ROG Ally is also said to have a dual-fan design to dissipate heat from the AMD APU, which brings many benefits and extends the lifespan of the console.

Finally, if the power of the ROG Ally is not enough, it is still possible to connect an external GPU ROG XG while the console is charging, allowing the user to view all the content on a big TV with improved graphics and additional controls to play in multiplayer local.
