Realo traces his path, without worrying about the sounds that appeal to most of the French rap audience. The music of this young French rapper-producer-mixer from the Toulouse region belongs to the world of the Internet. Since the end of the 2010s, this jack-of-all-trades has been flooding online listening platforms (notably Soundcloud) with his songs with dancing, melancholy sounds that are difficult to identify in the current landscape of French rap.

Figurehead of a new underground scene increasingly scrutinized on social networks, Twitter in particular, Realo tries to push the limits of rap by associating influences from electro, 80′s pop and hyperpop (a style that is difficult to define and flirts with the mainstream as much as with the experimental, in the manner of the recently deceased transgender artist Sophie) for a maximalist sound rendering. It is the color of EMOTION, new musical project co-directed with the producer duo koboi, in which musical genres collide. We hear pop from the 80s (EMOTION) through rock (ISLAND) or the trendy UK garage house (THE WORLD with Winterzuko). Realo and his producers give birth, for the time of eleven tracks, to the most improbable encounters while drowning the rapper’s voice under waves of Autotune, to create a unique sound of its kind.
