Dr. Hossam Mowafi, Professor of Critical Care Medicine at Kasr Al-Ainy, revealed the reasons for the appearance of blue spots on the skin, and their impact on the health of the body.
Muwafi said during the presentation of his program, “My Lord, Increase Me Alam,” broadcast on the “Sada Al-Balad” channel, that the sudden appearance of these blue spots in different parts of the body is evidence of sudden bleeding under the surface of the skin.
Mowafi added during an interview: “The weakness of the blood capillaries located near the surface of the skin is among the reasons for the appearance of these blue spots, due to their easy exposure to damage.”
Muwafi pointed out that platelet deficiency has nothing to do with blue spots, because it usually results in spots that tend to be red rather than blue.
