Fuel prices in Lebanon have fluctuated up and down, sometimes affected by the global oil price, and sometimes by the dollar exchange rate on the black market, with the problems and crises that Lebanon is witnessing on more than one level that reflect negatively on the Lebanese citizen who suffers from their repercussions. ?

After the significant rise in the price of a barrel of oil globally, coinciding with the ongoing war in Ukraine, where it touched the $200 mark, in the past two days there has been a noticeable decrease, which is reflected positively on fuel prices in Lebanon. ?

According to the representative of fuel distributors, Fadi Abu Shakra, “the drop in the price of fuel is caused by the drop in global oil prices for a ton of gasoline and the homeland of diesel.” ?

As for the availability of quantities of fuel in Lebanon, Abu Chakra explained in an interview with “Lebanon Debate” that “a petrol steamer arrived in the Lebanese lands and is unloading,” stressing that “the material is available in all fuel stations in all regions on all Lebanese lands and all stations. Its doors are open and it sells petrol as usual.”

With regard to the issue of diesel and the urgent need for it in this very cold weather, Abu Chakra indicated that “a diesel ship has arrived and unloaded its cargo, which relieves the local market and the material will be distributed to most Lebanese regions.” ?

Abu Chakra hoped that “the drop in oil prices globally will continue so that the markets will relax and we will witness declines in the coming days, because the Lebanese citizen will not be able to pay the price of diesel or gasoline at very high prices,” reiterating that “the global drop in oil comforts the local market and the citizen.” “. ?
