Lidl biscuits with the image of “Paw Patrol”, a cartoon very popular with the little ones, have been recalled in the United Kingdom. The reason is unusual to say the least, since it is the URL link present on the packaging that poses a major problem: it refers to pornographic content, reports the Sun.

“Lidl is recalling the branded product mentioned above because we have been informed that the supplier URL which appears on the back of the packaging has been compromised and directs the user to a site which is not suitable for consumption. children,” said the brand in a press release, while inviting its customers to return the product to the store for a refund.
“I don’t normally check food packaging websites, but this was a company I had never heard of, so I thought I’d check it out,” one customer told The Sun. “I was horrified. How could this have happened? »
This would thus be a case of “cybersquatting”. According to the FPS Economy, the cybersquatter “can redirect the domain name to his own website in order to take advantage of the image of the brand and to attract the clientele of its owner by creating confusion”.
