A batch of TUMS antacid tablets is recalled due to contamination.
The company that makes this product has found fragments of fiberglass and other materials, including paper and foil, in some TUMS Regular Mint tablets.
“The product is sold in a pack of three rolls containing 12 tablets each, which was distributed in Canada from October 25, 2022”, can we read in a press release transmitted by Health Canada.
The organization is asking people who have purchased packs of regular mint TUMS (500mg), packaged in three rolls of 12 tablets, batch HA7H (DIN 01970240) to stop using the product.
The expiration date of the recalled tablets is August 2027.
