Recalled Food Products: Sparkling Apple Juice, Sunflower Seeds, and Granola – Risk, Residue, and Quality Issues

This Friday, the Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (AFSCA) recalled three products sold through several points of sale.

The first product concerned is the sparkling apple juice of the brand Happy Bulles, sold via Pom d’Happy Store (Ellezelles). This is the 75cl format expired on 06/04/2025. According to the Agency, there would be a risk of explosion following the fermentation of apple juice. The batch number is 06/04/2025. More info on [email protected].

The Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (AFSCA) also recalled sunflower seeds of the Scar brand, sold through several points of sale.

These are bags of sunflower seeds (15kg & 20kg) from the Scar brand which expire on 26/06/2024. According to the Agency, they would have too high a residue content of a plant protection product (cypermethrin). The affected batch numbers are 1204 and 12505. The third product is Holland and Barret Granola from the Rude Health brand which is said to contain “little pebbles”. These are packets (400g) with an expiry date of 04/17/2024, 04/18/2024, 05/09/2024. Lot numbers are PD18042023, PD09052023. More info on [email protected].
