A man died and a woman remains hospitalized after a shooting Monday morning in northwest Miami-Dade, authorities confirmed.

The shooting occurred outside the famed Bawa Food Market at 9300 NW 17th Ave.

According to Miami-Dade police, officers responded to the area after receiving a ShotSpotter alert and found both victims with gunshot wounds.

It should be noted that Bawa Food Market was the scene of another shooting in May 2018.

In that case, police said an employee fatally shot a customer outside the business after the two got into an argument.

As of now, the investigation is ongoing and police urge anyone with information about Monday’s shooting to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.

Shooting in Pompano Beach, Florida, leaves one dead

In other events, A shooting was fatal last Friday, May 12, in the morning hours, in northwestern Broward County, according to agents at the scene.

Detectives with the Fort Lauderdale Police Department were also investigating a shooting that killed Terri McKenzie, 21, and Vernaldo Donner, 23, on Tuesday morning, May 9.

In fact, detectives recently responded to three shootings in three days in Lauderdale Lakes. One such shooting at a Walmart killed Thierry Bastien, 41, a father who was out shopping when he intervened during a violent conflict between two store employees, one of whom shot and killed him.

Also earlier this month, Syed Nabigh, 11, a fifth-grader who was buying ice cream with his older brother, was killed during a shooting at a 7-Eleven, in Dana Beach. Detectives reported that the shooter, 29-year-old Darren Rosenthal, also shot a man and then killed himself.
