Man remanded in custody for hacking hotel employee in city Ajeesh, a native of Nedumangad, was remanded by the Thiruvananthapuram Judicial First Class Magistrate Court. Ayyappan, a native of Tamil Nadu, was hacked to death by a receptionist at the City Tower Hotel on Friday morning.

The accused confessed to the police that his previous enmity was the reason for the murder. Ajeesh reacts as if he is mentally ill due to constant intoxication. His answer to the questions is that he became famous after killing Ayyappan. What he said was not fully believed.

Police took evidence from the hotel with the accused. CCTV footage was examined. Fingerprints and other scientific evidence have also been collected. The evidence was taken by Thampanoor CIS Sanoj.

Ajeesh’s wife Lakshmi was also questioned by the police. She testified that on the day she booked a room at the City Tower Hotel three months ago, she got into an argument with him over alcohol and tried to break into other rooms. He was abducted that day by staff including Ayyappan. Lakshmi has said that revenge may be the reason for the murder. Ayyappan’s body was handed over to his relatives after the postmortem.

The other two were targeted

Police received information that the accused had planned to kill two others on the day of the incident. He asserted that his confession had been obtained through torture, and that his confession had been obtained through torture.

It is being investigated whether there is a link between this incident and Ayyappan’s death. Investigators do not believe he had a grudge against Ayyappan for the brutal murder. The remanded accused will be taken into custody on Monday.
