The Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) State of Mexico East reports that the reconstruction work of the Family Medicine Unit (UMF) No. 93 has a general physical progress of 38.62%; Furthermore, they are developed in accordance with the construction company’s programming.
During her supervision tour of the medical unit, the head of the representation of the IMSS State of Mexico East, Dr. Miriam Victoria Sánchez Castro, was notified that the UMF presents an advance in the structural part of 89%, 65% in masonry and 11% in what corresponds to facilities.
It is worth mentioning that this unit, which is located in the municipality of Ecatepec de Morelos, was affected by the 2017 earthquakes.
The owner indicated that the work has made significant progress, and at no time has it failed to serve the 342,517 assigned beneficiaries, since, of its 34 offices, 17 are enabled in the facilities of the Ecatepec Subdelegation and another 17 in UMF No. 67, in the same municipality.
Likewise, the 396 workers, including doctors, nurses, social workers, nutritionists, technical personnel, laboratory technicians and pharmacy personnel, are distributed in the aforementioned units, in order to serve the beneficiaries of this region with quality and warmth.
Accompanied by architects and engineers responsible for the works, Dr. Sánchez Castro stated that the new infrastructure replaces the old one, which presented serious structural damage as a result of the earthquakes of September 7 and 19, 2017, being ruled a total loss. , so its demolition was carried out.
Finally, he reaffirmed his commitment to the beneficiaries assigned to the unit to be attentive to the progress of the work and to ensure that it is delivered in a timely manner.
