Nubia has revealed details of a RedMagic-branded gaming tablet, which it will announce tomorrow alongside the RedMagic 8S Pro. Previously, the company unveiled the design of the tablet screen, covered separately. She has since confirmed that the gaming tablet will rely on a 12.1-inch display sourced from BOE.

Additionally, the display is expected to deliver a maximum brightness of 600 nits with a refresh rate of 144Hz, a touch sampling rate of 240Hz, and 100% DCI-P3 color space coverage. For some reason, Nubia has not yet confirmed the screen resolution. However, the mention of “2.5K” and a 16:10 aspect ratio implies a native resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. In addition, the RedMagic gaming tablet will be equipped with a processorSnapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1which would have exceeded 1.37 million points in AnTuTu v10.

While Qualcomm has moved to Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Snapdragon 8 Plus chipsSnapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1remains the flagship chipset of choice for tablet manufacturers, with the exception of Samsung and its next series of Galaxy Tab S9. Additionally, Nubia completed the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 with a 10,000mAh battery that will support 80W wired charging. Nubia has yet to comment on global availability, which likely makes the RedMagic gaming tablet a Chinese exclusive for now.
