Today the Release Candidates (RCs) of iOS 17.4 and iPadOS 17.4, which, in addition to indicating the proximity of the release of the update to all users, also brought signs of the development of a new product.

The developer Aaron found several references to “Beats Solo4”. According to the findings, Beats (Apple’s subsidiary) would be working on a new version of its headphones. It is worth noting that similar signs relating to the Beats Solo Pro were found last year, before the official launch.

Some of the references found were videos that appear to be those shown in the popup displayed when connecting the headphones to the iPhone.

The findings suggest that the design of the “Beats Solo4” will be similar to that of the Solo3 Wireless, although with some changes, making them more similar to the newer Solo Pro. A new feature would be, according to the codes, support for Spatial Audio, although it is possible that other features will also be added.

The files show images and videos of headphones in black, blue and pink. Just like the Beats Solo Pro, the “Solo4” can be expected to gain an improvement in audio quality and support for Personalized Spatial Audio.

The new headphones should also support the same gestures on the button in the letter “b” to perform actions such as playing and pausing audio, answering calls, playing music and activating Siri.

The Beats Solo3 Wireless were launched in 2016 and, despite having gained more color options since then, there were no new features in terms of features. The “Solo4” headphones should be the first update to the line in a long time and, judging by the references in the iOS 17.4 codes, they could be launched soon.
