He Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) published Supreme Decree 065-2023-EF that approves the regulations of Law 31670, approved by the Congress of the republicwhich creates minimum pensions and establishes alternative voluntary contributions for pension purposes.
The fostering of an affiliate of the Private Pension System to a minimum pension is voluntary and can be done at any time, and will not limit access to benefits and benefits that the AFP already offers, such as the availability of resources for payment of the first property or 95.5% of the Individual Capitalization Account (CIC)access to early retirement or access to other types of pension.

The affiliate will set the amount of the minimum pension you want to receive, which cannot be less than the amount of one Basic Consumer Basket. From there, the AFP will project the Minimum Retirement Balance that you need to reach to obtain the minimum pension, and that will be updated until the time of your retirement by legal age.
The worker, upon reaching retirement age, will request the payment of the minimum pension, and the AFP will evaluate if the member has the minimum retirement balance and, if so, whether or not it has surplus resources.
If there is a surplus, affiliates may freely dispose of said resources, or transfer them to the voluntary contributions account with no pension purpose in their AFP, or issue negotiable guarantees up to all of them.

Law No. 31670 Allows you to increase contributions for pension purposesand includes payments for the return of fourth and fifth category income taxes, or any other tax or balance, as long as the holder of the tax benefit is the member.
Likewise, note that the standard entrusts the Superintendency of Banking, Insurance and AFP dictate the operating procedures and necessary provisions that allow the measures indicated in the Law and the regulations to be effective.
