On the evening of the 9th, the first day of the Chuseok holiday, congestion on highways across the country was resolved.

As of 7:30 pm on the same day, the Korea Expressway Corporation announced that all sections of the Gyeongbu Expressway in the Busan direction showed smooth communication except for 4 km from Hannam to Seocho and 15 km from Cheonan Service Area to Oksan.

In the direction of Seoul on the Gyeongbu Expressway, vehicles are pushed only in the 2km section from Seocho to Banpo, and in the Nami direction of the Jungbu Expressway, vehicles move slowly only in the 9km section from Ochang Rest Area to Ochang.

According to the Korea Expressway Corporation, as of 9:00 p.m., departure from Seoul tollgates will take △ Busan 4 hours 30 minutes △ Ulsan 4 hours 10 minutes △ Gangneung 2 hours 40 minutes △ Yangyang 1 hour 50 minutes (from Namyangju) △ Daejeon 1 hour 30 minutes △ Gwangju 3 hours 20 minutes △ Mokpo 3 hours 40 minutes (from West Seoul) △ Daegu 3 hours 30 minutes.

On the other hand, on the 10th, the day of Chuseok, severe congestion is expected in both directions due to a mixture of people returning home and returning to visit the graves and relatives.

It is expected that 490,000 vehicles will travel from the metropolitan area to the provinces and 480,000 vehicles from the provinces to the metropolitan area, and 6.49 million vehicles in total are expected to use the expressway.
