Today (21 Feb. 65) Dr. Chakrarat Pittayawong-anon Director. Division of Epidemiology, Department of Disease Control reveals the severity of the Omicron strain of covids BA.2 that there will be many Omicron strains. There are 2 main ones, BA.1 and BA.2. In the past, many people were concerned that BA.2, if infected, would cause more serious illnesses or not. According to the World Health Organization data released recently, BA.2 did not differ significantly from BA.1 for serious or more severe illnesses. But more is a matter of transmission, which BA.2 is more contagious.
