This week, Jean-Paul Belmondo was joined in heaven by his dog, as his son Paul explained with sadness this Wednesday, May 3 on his Instagram account. “Chipie left today to join my father after a long life of loyalty to his master here they are reunited“, he wrote in the caption of a photo of the animal. His wife Luana, Estelle Lefébure, Anthony and Anouchka Delon… All wanted to react to this publication in the space reserved for comments, in sending hearts and sad emoji.

To be precise, it was not Paul Belmondo who announced the death of the animal first, but Stéphanie Vannier. This producer, who had worked on the documentary Belmondo by Belmondo, had inherited custody of Chipie after the disappearance of his famous master. “It’s with a broken heart, Jean-Paul, that I’m sending Chipie back to you… I loved her until her last breath… The only thing that can console me is to know that she will find you. Thank you Paul for your support of the last moments”she wrote on her Instagram account, revealing several pictures of this adorable dog.

His last and so faithful companion

She was notably thanked below this post by Luana Belmondo, for having agreed to give her time to this animal. “My darling, you gave Chipie an exceptional end of life… She had chosen you after the departure of her master, and the whole family, but especially Jean-Paul who adores you[ait]we are grateful to you…”, wrote Vahé’s grandmother, before adding with humor: “Now she is next to her master who must already be giving her bullshit in secret under the table…“

As a reminder, Chipie was the star of the family. She very regularly accompanied her master, wherever he went, and was also unanimous among the actor’s friends. We remember in particular this message shared by Brigitte Bardot on her Twitter account just after the death of Bébel, in which she had had a tender thought for the animal. “I have a big sorrow like his dog Chipie who was his last and so faithful companion. I think of him, I loved him. I miss him and I don’t want to talk about him anymore. The great sorrows are mute”, she had indicated by sharing a photo of the actor and his dog.

Chipie will therefore have received a lot of love, and can now rest in peace, alongside his exceptional master…
