Doha: Palestinian poet Hiba Abu Nada was killed in an Israeli attack on Gaza. The lines written by Hiba facing death are going viral on Arab social media. Looking at the people of Gaza who are caught in Israel’s attack, Hiba wrote:
“We are now in seventh heaven. A new city is being built there. Screaming patients and doctors with bloodied clothes. Teachers who are not angry with children, families who are not sad and hurt.
Reporters capturing heaven on camera. The poets who sing of immortal love are all from Gaza. All of them are forming a new Gaza in heaven. Gaza Without Sanctions”
Hiba Abu Nada, a 32-year-old young poetess, will write a poem about eternal love while sitting in Gaza in heaven. Hiba was killed in an Israeli attack on Khan Yunis in Gaza yesterday. Hiba has won the Sharjah Award for her novel Oxygen is Not for the Dead.
