The son of actress Drena De Niro and grandson of actor Robert De Niro, Leandro Rodíguez de Niro has died at the age of 19, his mother confirmed.

It was through social networks that Drena shared the sad news.

“My beautiful and sweet angel. I have loved you beyond words or description from the moment I felt you in my womb. You have been my joy, my heart and everything that was pure and real in my life. I wish I was with you right now ”, he begins by saying in the letter with which she accompanied a photo of Leandro.

“I don’t know how to live without you, but I will try to carry on and spread the love and light that you made me feel as your mother. You were so loved and cherished and I wish that love alone might have saved you. I’m so sorry my child. Rest in peace and eternal paradise my dear child, ”he ended by saying.

The causes of his death have not been revealed.

Leandro had begun to follow in the footsteps of his mother and grandfather in acting. He played minor roles in recent productions, such as “Star is Born” or “Cabaret Maxime”.

Drena de Niro is the eldest of the seven children of the famous actor.
