“Lebanese Debate”

It is ironic that responsibility in any party reaches those who do not know the value of those who contributed to its founding or who had white fingerprints on its path.

This is the case of a senior man who spent his life serving a political line with conviction, and had fingerprints witnessing all the joints of his public successes. He is the late former minister, Sajaan Azzi, who left a great void in the literature of political action in Lebanon.

His students did not understand this literature. He was the one who founded Radio Free Lebanon at the request of the late President Bashir Gemayel and remained its director until 1985. He also had clear imprints on the march of the Lebanese Forces Party, in addition to his pivotal role in the Phalange Party.

The head of the Lebanese Forces, Samir Geagea, did not lose a single tweet mourning the late, while he recalled politicians on the anniversary of their departure, so that they would one day be part of his political line, such as the head of the Communist Party, George Hawi.

Geagea’s political literature has become clear in following personal whims, but what about the literature of the head of the Phalange Party, Sami Gemayel, who was absent from attending the funeral of one of the party’s former ministers?
