IC4Health partners met on October 25, 2023 at the RIVM headquarters in Bilthoven (Netherlands) to sign a memorandum of understanding extending their cooperation in public health and risk assessment for five renewable years.

Created in 2015, IC4Health is a group of national agencies from European countries sharing a common vision and committed to public health, risk assessment and health security. The consortium aims to address health challenges for which European and international cooperation and collaboration are essential. This partnership involves networking, sharing and exchanging experiences and strategic development.

Rich exchanges between partners

Since the creation of the consortium, several meetings between the organizations have made it possible to share work on subjects of common interest, such as tobacco products, endocrine disruptors, antibiotic resistance and even nutrition research. These meetings were also an opportunity to share experiences and thoughts on common strategic challenges: on scientific data and information systems, taking into account sustainable development, citizens’ trust in the expertise of agencies. health, health challenges in the face of climate change, the circular economy

Major research projects

Finally, the teams of the five organizations in the IC4Health network regularly collaborate within the framework of European projects. Thus, they all contribute to the European Partnership for the Assessment of Risks Related to Chemical Substances (PARC), coordinated by ANSES, after having collaborated in the European HBM4EU program (European Human Biomonitoring Initiative) from 2017 to 2021. They also been members of the joint European One Health program, also coordinated by ANSES and which has just ended.
