This week, a couple of Norman videographers followed by hundreds of thousands of Internet users are renovating a barn to make it their main residence.
Build your ideal house yourself, with the strength of your arms? Alexander and Ophelia did it. Or rather, have been doing it, stone by stone, for two years now. All this, under the attentive, encouraging and sometimes critical gaze of hundreds of thousands of Internet users. This couple in their thirties embarked, in the summer of 2021, on the renovation of a barn in Normandy. Objective: build their cozy little nest. Since the start of their adventure, these two Normans from Cotentin have published more than sixty videos on their YouTube channel, Renovacile. Little by little, they built a community: their main account has more than 40,000 subscribers and more than five million views, their Instagram page is followed by 53,000 people, and their TikTok by 12,000 Internet users. Their most popular video, showing the progress of the work over a year, has more than 1.2 million views, and the second, published just two weeks ago, has 215,000. A real success…
