The block of Buenos Aires senators from the Frente de Todos repudiated the attack on the Director of the Health Region I of Bahía Blanca, Maximiliano Núñez Fariña. “This is not an isolated action, but one more episode in a series of acts of political violence in Bahía Blanca. In that sense, the legislators demand that the Justice act as quickly as possible to resolve and clarify this attack,” said the provincial senators in a statement. Núñez Fariña was the object of an attack with explosives in front of his home in the city of Bahía Blanca. After the attack, pamphlets were found with death threats directed at health personnel in the area, and slogans against the health measures deployed by the Buenos Aires government to stop Coronavirus infections: the health pass and the restriction of circulation. “From the Bloc of senators and senators of the Frente de Todos we strongly repudiate these events that threaten democracy, and seek to threaten and intimidate political and social leaders,” the leaders pointed out in the document.
