Reshetnikov announced the stabilization of the economic situation in Kaliningrad against the backdrop of sanctions

The Kaliningrad region has suffered from sanctions more than other regions of Russia, said the head of the Ministry of Economy Maxim Reshetnikov. In his opinion, the regional authorities managed to stabilize the economic situation.

“Given the specifics of the local economy, the government has a special approach to supporting the region. We have developed targeted support measures specifically for the region,”— said Mr. Reshetnikov during a trip to the Kaliningrad region.

The minister said that within the framework of the industry state program, transportation of important goods to the region is ensured: food, consumer goods and building materials. On the Ust-Luga-Baltiysk route, a new ferry, General Chernyakhovsky, was launched in October, which can carry up to 600,000 tons per year. Sea carriers involved in the transit of goods to the Kaliningrad region received a third of the 1.4 billion rubles allocated this year. subsidies.

The governor of the Kaliningrad region, Anton Alikhanov, said that 17 courts are currently operating in the Kaliningrad direction. At the beginning of the year, two vessels were engaged in transit.

Transit to the Kaliningrad region is difficult due to European sanctions. Since mid-July, Lithuania has introduced restrictions on the transportation of sanctioned products through its territory.
