It was last night that Capcom held its Resident Evil Showcase at a late hour for us, French: a shame since many details were shared on the near future of the franchise. Here is all you need to know.

Resident Evil 4: the remake points the tip of its nose again
He was certainly the big star of the evening and we will therefore start with him: Resident Evil 4 was indeed present at the showcase organized by Capcom and moreover, he exhibited himself with a frankly generous trailer. A “story trailer” as we say in the jargon where the story is directly approached: as a reminder, the player embodies Leon S. Kennedy in Spain, responsible for bringing back the daughter of the President of the United States, kidnapped by a rather dubious sect .
Fans will be delighted to find a plethora of cult scenesfor once revisited with a modern technique thanks to the famous RE Engine, the engine of the Osaka firm which has already proven itself many times.
Then, the very beginning of the adventure was revealed through five minutes of never-before-seen gameplay! The opportunity to admire the new plastic of the game therefore, but also the few changes in level design, cutscenes or placement of enemies, while many other elements remain faithful to the original game. Resident Evil 4 will be released on PC, PS5, PS4 and Xbox Series on March 24, 2023.
Resident Evil Village Gold Edition: the story picks up where it left off
The ultimate version of Resident Evil Village was obviously present, she who should land very soon on PC and home consoles. As a reminder, its greatest asset is undoubtedly its expansion, allowing you to play Ethan’s daughter, years after the events of the game. She will return to Lady Dimitrescu’s castle, confront enigmatic forces and above all, impose a third-person camera, another big novelty. This can also be chosen for the main adventure.
Additionally, the Gold Edition will thicken Mercenary Mode with three new playable characters: Chris Redfield, Heisenberg and, precisely, Lady Dimitrescu. A much more muscular experience.

Resident Evil Re:Verse: This time it’s the right one
Announced quite a while ago, Resident Evil Re:Verse had even let himself be approached before mysteriously disappearing into the abyss. Capcom hasn’t abandoned the project, however, and it made its comeback last night during the Resident Evil Showcase. The game will therefore be offered to all owners of Resident Evil Village (including the Gold Edition) and early access will begin on Monday, October 24, 2022 at 4 a.m. French time, and end on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 8 a.m.
For the final release of this multiplayer project – allowing him to embody the great figures of the franchise, heroes as well as villains, then having to fight in competitive matches – the appointment is therefore given on October 28. There will even be crossplay.
Finally, Capcom assures that there will be a follow-up with new survivors, creatures, maps, costumes and challenges.
Resident Evil: some info on the ports
First information to know: Resident Evil Village will land on Mac on October 28which will allow all Apple aficionados to taste Ethan’s winter adventure. It is also the same day that the title will be released on Nintendo Switch thanks to its Cloud Version. As for the extension, it will be available on December 2, 2022 on the nomadic console.
Finally, still concerning the Japanese machine, new release dates have been unveiled: Resident Evil 2 Cloud will arrive on November 11, 2022, Resident Evil 3 Cloud on November 18, 2022 and Resident Evil VII Cloud December 16, 2022.
