Bengaluru | Karnataka Waqf Board Chairman NK Mohammad Shafi Saadi has resigned. There was an earlier agreement to hold the post of chairman for one and a half years each. Resignation at the end of this period.
The resignation was submitted to Karnataka Waqf Minister Sameer Ahmad Khan. The minister directed Shafi Saadi to continue until a new chairman is chosen.
Karnataka Waqf Board Chairman Dr. Shafi Saadi was chosen as the chairman when Yusuf died two years following assuming office. The current Waqf Board has a tenure of one and a half years.
