Federico Gutiérrez and Gustavo Petro, just two months before the elections, will be the biggest beneficiaries of the useful vote, since voters see them as the two finalists in the race for the presidency.

A new survey reveals the closeness in the intention to vote for the candidates Gustavo Petro and Fico Gutiérrez, who would be the candidates for the second round.

Every time the day Colombians go out to elect the new occupant of the Casa de Nariño, and in anticipation of election day, several surveys are carried out to measure the political scenario.

Who would you vote for in the first round?

Recently, the CNC (National Consulting Center) conducted a survey for Revista Semana, to measure the voting intention of the candidates Gustavo Petro, Fico Gutiérrez, Rodolfo Hernández, Sergio Fajardo, Íngrid Betancourt, John Milton Rodríguez, Enrique Gómez and Luis Perez.

According to the results, the country would not elect a president in the first round, but would go to a second round.

This is due to the fact that the intention to vote for Gustavo Petro is 36.5%, while that of Fico Gutiérrez is 24.5%, so that neither would exceed the threshold to be elected in the first round (50% + 1), but they would go to the second round, being the two candidates with the highest number of votes.

For their part, candidates such as Rodolfo Hernández came in third place with 10% voting intention, followed by Sergio Fajardo with 8.4% and Íngrid Betancourt with 1.5%.

Who would you vote for in the second round?

In the same survey, respondents were asked who they would vote for in the event that the second round was between Petro and Gutiérrez.

The results showed that the intention to vote would be Petro would have 43.1% and Fico 40.1%.

With the numbers that the survey showed, it is clear that the presidency of Colombia will be decided in the second round between the candidates Fico Gutiérrez and Gustavo Petro, and that the difference in votes will not be much, so it would be a heart attack election for Colombians. .

To carry out the meeting, “4,206 face-to-face interviews were carried out in 75 municipalities of all regions, and a margin of error of 1.5 percent,” according to what is reported in the results report.
