With a new label behind them, the Swedes von Rexoria continue their release frenzy and continue to bring out a new album every two years. This time the good piece lives up to its name Imperial Dawn and again promises a ten-song power hit firework.

And indeed, the band convinces right away. Already the opener Paradigm delivers everything you need for a hit. Catchy riffs, powerful female vocals, melodic solos and subtle keyboard accompaniment leave nothing to be desired. Also The New Revelation takes no prisoners in this respect and also pushes the doublekick pedal through every now and then. Devious Desire on the other hand, it starts with a hint of folk and then moves more in the mid-tempo area, in which they convince with all the more impressive grooves. Rage And Madness on the other hand, it’s more oriented towards the fast Melodic Power Metal, where sporty tempo and crazy guitar tinkering prevail throughout.

No time for slips

Fading Rose It doesn’t reach the enormous speed of just now – but there’s still no time to catch your breath. Really rare that you’re unsure about a number whether to headbang or lighter. Light Up The Skythat in advance HERE was released, treats itself to much more intense keyboard parts and convinces above all with the again catchy refrain. Then, with Horizon, there is the obligatory power ballad, which is nevertheless largely played electrically and certainly not slowly.

Set Me On Firethe one HERE starts with an almost Eurodance worthy intro and by now it should be clear to everyone that the band consistently has a knack for incredibly great refrains.

At the end of the album will be with Crushing For More and Enchanted Island two more melodic mid-tempo songs that round off the whole concept of the album.

Conclusion
Rexoria
are with Imperial Dawn Arrived in the first league. In order to be able to play for the championship here, we might still be missing a little bit, but we are complaining at a very high level. In order to leave that little bit of room for improvement for the successor – which one can undoubtedly expect from the band – here are well-intentioned ones 8,5 / 10
