Rhubarb yoghurt: Detox breakfast for an energy boost

Hello spring, chic warmth and rays of sunshine. After the many long and dark months, we feel listless, tired and drained. Please, we need a reboot. Sometimes even just a really good day is enough to make your body and mind feel good again. And now it has come: We start with a detox breakfast, a refreshing rhubarb yoghurt.

If we prepare rhubarb compote the night before, we sit super relaxed at the table or in bed in the morning and spoon ourselves fit and happy. And you can even prepare the yoghurt yourself, because we have a super easy yoghurt recipe. But store-bought yogurt is also great. You shouldn’t put yourself under too much pressure. We all know that yoghurt is healthy. But what about the rhubarb in our rhubarb yoghurt? I’ll tell you that after we’ve introduced you to other great recipes with the healthy sticks:

Rhubarb originally comes from the Himalayas, made its way to Russia in the Middle Ages and eventually to other parts of Europe. We particularly appreciate its sour taste, which gives the rhubarb yoghurt a special touch. The stems contain so-called Anthranoid-Glykoside. These are plant substances that promote intestinal movement and help to get rid of toxins faster. That’s why you put in a detox day and enjoy a rhubarb yoghurt. Do you have more questions? In our cooking school we will familiarize you with other foods and how to prepare them. There we present about 5 foods that contain a particularly large amount of vitamin D.

Description

Homemade treat: rhubarb yoghurt

preparation

  1. Peel the rhubarb, wash and cut into pieces. Simmer with 100 ml water, the sugar and the lemon juice for 5-8 minutes and then drain.

  2. Mix the cornstarch with 6 tablespoons of water and add to the rhubarb, bring to the boil. Pour off the juice and add more sugar to the rhubarb, if necessary. Allow to cool and pour into a nice glass in layers with the natural yoghurt, because the eyes always eat too.
