Fleeing the October Revolution, Sergei Rachmaninoff leaves Russia where he will never return. In the early 1930s, he found a home in Switzerland. Riccardo Chailly and the Lucerne Festival Orchestra continue the Rachmaninoff cycle initiated in 2019. This summer, the program includes the Symphony No. 2 and the Concerto pour piano n°2 with the young Japanese soloist Mao Fujita.
