Last Thursday the Puerto Rican singer Enrique Martín Morales, better known as Ricky Martin, announced through his social networks his divorce with the painter Jwan Yosef, after six years of relationship.
Through a joint statement published from each other’s Instagram account, the interpreter of ‘Tal Vez’ and the Swedish painter made their separation official, noting that the decision was made from the love and respect they have as a couple.
“After careful reflection, we have decided to end our marriage with love, respect and dignity towards ourselves and our children, persevering and honoring what we have experienced as a couple during these wonderful years,” the statement begins.
After the announcement, Ricky Martin has not stopped showing himself on his social networks, unlike his ex-partner Jwan Yosef, who preferred to remain silent and move away from public life for a moment.
However, in the last hours Yosef reappeared on his social networks and made some publications that were not only commented on by his fans but also by the Puerto Rican singer.
The painter published on his official Instagram account two images in which he appears sitting and very relaxed on a piece of furniture in what would be his new residence.
“Loving and caring care,” Yosef wrote in the caption of the image along with three emojis.
The appearance of the painter generated multiple reactions from his followers who took the opportunity to send him messages of support.
In addition, Ricky Martin could not resist the publication, so he decided to comment on the image with a “HBB”, which is an abbreviation of the Arabic word habibi, which means “my love” or “my beloved”.
It should be noted that the couple began their relationship at the beginning of 2016 and made their romance public by posing for the first time on the red carpet of that year’s AmFAR Inspiration Gala and, according to what they said at the time, it was love at first sight.
After this, they soon announced that they were engaged and by January 2018 the interpreter of ‘La Morididita’ announced that he had married the painter.
“I am a husband! but we are going to have a big party (…) We exchanged our vows and took all the oaths. We signed the papers we needed to sign, the prenuptial agreement and everything else,” the 51-year-old artist told E! News.
Ricky Martin and Jwan Yosef have four children together: the twins Matteo and Valentino, who were born through a surrogacy process in 2008, little Lucia who was adopted by the couple in 2018 and the youngest, Renn, who was also Adopted by celebrities in 2019.
